Camping for the weekend of June 13-14 is available within the town of Barrhead (Rotary Park, 21 sites) and at Thunder Lake Prov. Park 18 km west of Barrhead (167 sites). Also, there is a basic campground on the north side of Hwy 33, about 6 km SE of Fort Assiniboine, (close to the turnoff towards the Holmes Crossing map, turn north on Rge Rd 60); it has 15 sites (outdoor biffies only, no water).
There are several motel options in Barrhead, and newly-renovated Linda’s Motel in Fort Assiniboine (plus gas and convenience store).
