“Sprint towards Summer” forest event details

On the Dalmuir map, 13km east of Redwater, in the Redwater Recreation Area.

Registration for Courses 1/2, 3 and 5 will be available from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.
Starts from 10:15 am to 11:30 am,
Course closing 3:00 pm
Format: Five Three courses to choose from including:
Course 1/2. Suitable for complete beginners and families as well as novice orienteers. Beginners clinic and/or extra coaching available.
An intermediate Course 3 suitable for those with some experience such as Wednesday evening medium and long courses.
A short advanced Course 5
A longer advanced Course 7 (including women’s elite category) was only available for those who pre-registered
A men’s elite Course 8 was only available for those who pre-registered
SPORTident timing system will be used for all courses.
Fees for members:
$20 per individual adult
$10 per individual Junior member
$20 for 2 or more members going out as a group registration (includes one map). Plus $5 per extra map.
Non Member Surcharge: $5 per individual or group.
All fees include rental of SI timing card (and compass and whistle if you don’t have your own)
Driver’s license required as deposit for rentals
Exact cash or a cheque to Edmonton Overlanders Orienteering much appreciated.
What to bring: clothes suitable for the weather, sunscreen, your own water supply and snacks. Compass and whistle if you have them.
