Membership registration for 2026 is live on Zone4.
Annual membership runs from January 1 to December 31.
2026 Annual membership fees:
- $40/adult individual
- $10/junior individual (20 and under)
- up to a maximum of $100/household* (*household = those residents at the same address).
You may have noticed that the annual membership fees have increased. The maximum for any household is $100.
A few scenarios:
- A household of 2 adults should choose the “Individual” option and select the individual fees for each member on the following pages. Their total will be $80.
- One parent registering themself a 2 children should also choose the “Individual” option. Their total will be $60.
- A household with two parents and three children should pick the “Household” option as their individual totals would be $110, exceeding our $100 household maximum.
If you have any questions about the registration form or the fees, please email info@orienteer.ab.ca.
We’ve also added the O-Pass (season’s pass) to the registration form. If you’d rather not buy it now, you will be able to purchase an O-Pass separately closer to the start of the season.
EOOC annual membership includes membership in the Alberta Orienteering Association (AOA), which is affiliated with Orienteering Canada. The AOA makes our forest maps, sanctions our forest events, provides officials certification and organizes training camps. Orienteering Canada provides the club with liability insurance, develops rules, manuals and guidelines for putting on forest events, officials certification and coaching.
EOOC annual membership includes other benefits such as:
- reduced price for maps at city park events
- discounts at orienteering events worldwide
- eligible for discounted rates for Kids Run Wild, the club’s junior program
Payment options:
- online with credit card. Zone4 charges members a processing fee, but makes it much easier for the club especially the volunteer treasurer.

Entry fees for annual members
A map at a Wednesday event costs:
- $10.00 cash
- or annual members may buy an optional O-Pass (season pass) to add to their membership. There will be at least 20 Wednesday events. The pass costs $60 for one free map each Wednesday; or $100 for a multi O-pass with up to as many maps as you have EOOC members in your household.
- O-Passes are non-refundable and not transferable outside the EOOC members in your household.
Three good reasons to buy an O-Pass:
- you won’t have to go looking for cash each week and there will be no line up to register.
- if you go to at least 5 Wednesday events you will have saved money.
- you will make the volunteer organizer happy: they much prefer planning courses and putting out and collecting in ribbons, rather than making change!
- After you have bought your membership, you will be sent a link to purchase an optional O-Pass.
