The Halfmoon Lake Natural Area is beautiful sandhill terrain, with lots of open jack pine woods and some mixed spruce and aspen forest. The stewards of this NA keep the trail network nicely maintained. Unlike some of our other sandhill maps, there are no OHVs allowed here.
It is 70km north of downtown Edmonton, approximately a 1hr drive.
